Overall Chairman of TABA / AMCHAM
Educated at Robert College (US University in İstanbul) 1954. B.A. from Pacific Institute California 1956. Running family business 1956 – 1960 (Soap Olive oil – cotton – tobacco factories) and also advisor to Prime Minister Mr. Adnan Menderes. 1960 – 1962 Military Service. Between 1963 – 1970 General Manager of agricultural factory. 1971 moved to Rome – Italy and formed Rome based FILMCENTRE GROUP handling international sales of movies for Turkey, Greece, M. East, Far East, Holland. 1986 moved back to Istanbul as General Coordinator of ASTALDI S.p.A. Italian Construction Company which signed one Billion dollar contract to Build Highway and Tunnels / Viaducs. Presently keeps this post. He has been involved in Politics 1956 – 1960 as President of “Young Democratic Party” and 1963 – 1970 with the former Justice Party.
He has collaborated with CHASE MANHATTAN BANK to finalize the ASTALDI –TREASURY syndications as well as with AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL Banking both with Support of SACE. Has one son Mustafa (spose – Fatos), who is constructor with children, Melis and Murat. Married to Cavidan. Speaks English – Italian. Has been awarded DIAMOND OF MERIT BY MPAA (U.S.A.) and CHEVALIER OF FRANCE – Founder of American Chamber of Commerce – former Chairman and Co-Chairman presently member of the Board and Chairman of AmCham Committee. Mr. Terzioglu received a Medal of Honor -Cavaliero di Repuclica- from the ITALIAN GOVERMENT in March 2005. He is a member of ITALIAN Chamber of Commerces and DEIK. He is one of the founders of TABA and served as Chairman twice before 2006. He has been the Chairman of TABA – AmCham since June 2006.
